My services include one-on-one herbal consultation sessions, hosting herbal first aid & wellness spaces at events; workshops, and consulting with organizations who want to incorporate herbal medicines into holistic goods and practices.

Herbal Wellness Consultations

For herbal consultations schedule a complementary 15 minute phone or videoconferencing consultation free of charge.

I am available for consultations in the Sebastopol region and occasionally at The Scarlet Sage clinic in San Francisco. I sometimes make house calls and I am available via phone, google hangout, and Skype.

During our hour and a half - two hour consultation we will sit together to discuss your medical history, dietary and lifestyle practices, and all of the little important details which make you the unique person you are. All is strictly confidential and held in a nonjudgemental space.

We will explore the underlying causes of illness & create a wellness plan that is practical and attainable. Throughout our time together I may share tools, resources, and supportive protocols with you. You will receive an organic herbal formula which will be finely tuned to your specific constitution and needs. The medicinals within it are artfully hand selected to address your unique physiological, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

I ask that you bring a list of current medications and a notebook for taking notes.

A follow-up visit to review your healing process can be scheduled 3 – 5 weeks later or at your discretion, at which time you may receive a refill or a new herbal formula. Subsequent visits may be monthly to six weeks and depending on what you need and want.

You can contact me at or leave me a voicemail at 510-394-2993.

I accept cash, checks, money order, PayPal and Venmo @DixiePauline

Healing Oppression Sliding Scale

It is important to me that herbal health care is financially accessible to all, not just for those who can afford it. It’s also important that practitioners are supported in our work. In order to balance my own need to support myself, value other herbalists, and accessibility, I offer a limited number of sliding scale sessions per month. The sliding scale that I use takes into account how interlocking systems of power impacts those who are most marginalized in society. Ones socio-economic status is often very much intertwined with where we sit in relation to privilege and power.

When we show up to liberation, we heal collectively, this is the revolution of our time. ~ Jardana Peacock

In a society that never talks about the root causes of socio-economic status, yet retains enormous class differences, I acknowledge how difficult this process can be but it is an important part of working towards providing equal access, justice, and our collective healing. To figure out what fee you should pay on this sliding scale, I have a form, inspired by thirdroot community health center that you fill out for your own reflection and purposes and to determine the appropriate fee for my services.

I also accept trades for reduced rates! Fellow herbalist Elokin Orton-Cheung expressed the following which speaks for me as well: “As a practitioner, it’s important to me to have a rate that is accessible to my clients, and fair to other practitioners in my community who also make their living through this work. My sliding scale rates reflect my commitment to the herbal community while working towards making herbal medicine accessible. I don’t want to see anyone turned away for lack of funds. I also do trades for reduced rates. Please contact me to find out more.”
